New Handbook available shortly

Hi,
Secretary Irene posting.
The Handbook is fully updated. It is downloadable as a pdf, which you can either print or upload to your mobile phone, for easy riverside reference.
Lets hope we can get some fishing when the Coronavirus is under more control.

Tight lines, stay safe and keep well.

Pandemic Update

Dear Members, We have decided to follow the guidance as published by the Angling Trust and in light that many other clubs are also following the same guidance we have to consider not only the health of our members but potentially the distraction we may cause to emergency services in protecting our communities.

Angling Trust Statement
We must all do what is required of us by the Government and work together to fight this pandemic. Therefore until further notice we should all refrain from fishing. This is about saving lives and supporting the NHS.

In regards to the current restrictions announced by the Government on Monday 23 March 2020 it is clear that the only permitted activities that have been specified are walking, running and cycling for the purpose of local daily exercise. Today we (Angling Trust) have written to the Sports Minister highlighting the benefits to both physical health and mental wellbeing that angling provides and that we are ready and prepared to offer whatever support the government or Sport England require now or in the future to get people back fishing as soon as is safely possible.

Please look after yourselves and look forward to seeing you all back on the river as soon as we are permitted to do so.

We will attempt to update you via email or WhatsApp whenever we receive further clarification.

Regards

The Committee
